Rumors are swirling that the Digital Entertainment Network (DEN), an Internet entertainment site, will file soon for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The site has high-profile backers like Microsoft and NBC, but reports said that approximately 150 employees were let go midweek. Earlier this year, 100 employees were let go. DEN representatives were unavailable for comment.
