Mid-Atlantic Sports Network said it will launch a separate HD channel in March and will also double the number of HD Major League Baseball games it began providing this season.
This season, MASN aired 40 Baltimore Orioles games in HD and 40 Washington Nationals games, which the regional sports network said will increase to as many as 200.
The new network will air Baltimore Ravens preseason National Football League games and some NCAA Division I football, basketball, and lacrosse.
MASN said Comcast, DirecTV, Cox Communications and RCN will all carry the new HD channel.
