McCain, NBC Caught in ‘Cone of Silence’
McCain campaign, Obama campaign, NBC go back-and-forth over 'faith forum.'

The "cone of silence" story continued to dog Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) Monday.

The McCain campaign criticized NBC in a letter to the network after Andrea Mitchell on Meet the Press Sunday raised the criticisms of the camp of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) that McCain might have had an advantage in a "faith forum" over the weekend during which both candidates were asked the same questions, with Obama going first.
The story surfaced throughout the day on CNN.
NBC's response to the flap? "We welcome any opportunity to speak with officials from both campaigns, and many of us at NBC News are in contact with the McCain campaign literally on a daily basis," the network said in a statement. "With all due respect to the campaign leadership, they are viewing our coverage thru a political prism. We stand by our reporting, our journalism and our journalists."

I am am completely disgusted with the McCain Campaign because they
have not told the truth in this matter. What is even more concerning it appears they are blaming others for challenging their action. It is time for
them to come clean on this matter and fast. This will not go away. I
applaud the courage of Andrea Mitchell for standing up and asking the
tough questions. Either the McCain campaign is willing to hang Rev
Warren out to dry or Rev. Warren lied. Which is it was he in a cone of
silence or not?

The only cone of silence John McCain could have possibly been in would have been him wearing an orange traffic cone on his head during the ride to the forum so he couldn't hear the radio.
From today's news it looks like the pastor knew he had not been in the green room but kept quiet, even after McCain made his joke about trying to hear through the walls.

Hardly expect NBC to have professional, impartial journalistic ethics, what with the likes of Olbermann, Matthews, and the rest of the Obama minion.
I used to think Fox news was slanted. But now they have the highest objectivity of any of the major cable news outlets. At least they try to show both sides most of the time.
Go figure, huh?

Is McCain in the Cone of Silence?
depends on what your definition of IS is.
