Nightline staffers in Washington, D.C., Monday were putting together a piece on former executive producer Leroy Sievers to run during Monday night's broadcast.

Former Nightline anchor Ted Koppel taped a tribute to his former executive producer that will air as part of the segment, according to a spokeswoman for the network.
The piece will run at the end of the show and be a little over four minutes long.
Sievers died Friday after a long and very public bout with colon cancer that included an interview with Koppel about that battle for a Discovery Channel special.
ABC already aired a tribute in the Saturday version of World News Tonight, and George Stephanopoulos gave Sievers a shout-out on This Week with George Stephanopoulos with an "in memoriam" note and Stephanopoulos' reference to a loss in the ABC family.
