Sex and the City may be syndicated on TBS, but the popular HBO franchise will soon be hitting another cable network.

E! Entertainment Television acquired the rights to present New Line Cinema’s Sex and the City movie beginning in 2012.
The acquisition was part of the network’s “Movies We Love” franchise, and it also includes fellow New Line flicks He’s Just Not That Into You and The Women.
Another Comcast-owned cable channel, Style, will have concurrent rights as part of the agreement. The deal also includes some new-media rights.
Last year, the network acquired the rights to a number of films, including Knocked Up (which has a main character who works for E!), Evan Almighty, Miami Vice and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
