WWE Body-Slams TV14, Goes PG
World Wrestling Entertainment: All TV programs to be rated PG.
By Alex Weprin -- Broadcasting & Cable, 7/28/2008 12:42:00 PM
World Wrestling Entertainment said all of its television programming -- including flagship programs WWE Raw on USA Network, WWE Friday Night SmackDown on MyNetworkTV and ECW on Sci Fi Channel -- will now be rated PG.

The company said it will stay away from some of the controversial out-of-the-ring story lines that gave many of its programs a TV14 rating, including one last year that saw WWE chairman Vince McMahon “killed” by an apparent car bomb.
Instead, the focus will be on rivalries between wrestlers in the ring, with story lines that would appeal to a broader family audience.

vincent kennedy mcmahon you deserve to be fired. its been 3 years and this is just awful. you've made the biggest mistake since the XFL.

it's not right, i didn't think vince would go so far as to ruin what wwe/wwf was once known for. the brutality, the amazing stunts, the gripping storylines - it's all gone. us fans that have been watching for so long were hoping that one day wwe will return to being as good as the wwf days..it's clearly never going to happen now. all i can say is they are gonna lose a lot of fans now, but i guess vince doesn't care... he would do anything for growing the business, fan satisfaction doesn't matter at all anymore.

one of my best friends gives me crap for watching wrestling and calles it male gymnastics. i have always argued that it is a good show and more controled violence than male gymnastics.
now they are gonna validate his claim. pg?????? it may well be the final nail. if it gets too cheezy, i too will quit watching it and leave it to the kiddies as appearently it is now what they are aiming at and pushing out its long time watchers.
im 31 and have watched it since i can remember, this is sad and pathetic.

c'mon wwe, We have been fans since we were kids but now we are in our 20's and 30's and we want a show with a little maturity... just one show..any show. first you took all the EXTREME out of ECW and now a child friendly raw. unless your 12 years old and a cena fan what what are you supposed to watch? sure we appriciate talented technical wrestling, but just like we watch boxing for the knockouts we want to see chairs, tacks, tables and blood dammit!. Dont turn your back to the fans that have been with you for 20 years because WWE YOU ARE NOT UNTOUCHABLE, EVEN ROME FELL... "the rise and fall of wwe" has a nice ring to it perhaps it will make a good dvd title one day??

The WWE does not have the talent it used to have.they need to hire better talent scouts.Get rid of that cheap ECW and all of the original baggage that came with it. Go back to having one 3 hour show.I know these wrestlers have to get banged up after every show and i think that is why we only see a few matches each week.I agree with having more good guys. They need to drastically change the storylines, they are boring. The show is very predictable,i think that is one reason why i am losing interest. One show a week will produce more matches, better storylines and a much needed lift.
