As expected, Katie Couric will lead CBS News' coverage of the political conventions later this summer.

She'll be joined by Bob Schieffer, chief foreign correspondent and anchor of Face the Nation, and senior political correspondent Jeff Greenfield.
As previously reported, CBS News plans three hours of live primetime coverage for each convention -- Aug. 26-28 at 10 p.m. each night for the Democrats and Sept. 2-4 at 10 p.m. each night for the Republicans. Couric will also anchor CBS Evening News from Denver and St. Paul, Minn.
In addition to Evening News, The Early Show and Face the Nation will also originate from the respective convention sites.
The Early Show's Harry Smith will anchor the broadcast’s coverage Democratic convention from Denver and Maggie Rodriguez will do so in St. Paul with the Republicans.
Face the Nation will originate from the convention sites the day before each one begins.

"We're waist deep in Big Muddy, but the Big..." oh you all know the rest. And that's the way it is.

Oh, you mean she'll be quarterbacking the three hour Obama Campaign Commercial sponsored by CBS News? No thanks, I'll just wait for the reporter's cheerleading competition, maybe I'll get to see Lara Logan in a short skirt doing a dance routine with Obama girl.
