Matt Blank, in a career spanning three decades, has made a significant and indelible mark on the cable television industry. Mr.Blank joined Showtime in 1988 assuming the role of President and COO in 1991 and his present position as Chairman and CEO in 1995.
During Mr.Blank's tenure SHOWTIME was transformed into a leading cable channel and SHOWTIME NETWORKS INC has grown from three premium networks to include 27 digital channels. Matt has found time to give back generously to the industry and his many contributions have been recognized with numerous awards including three Vanguard Awards from the NCTA, the 2003 Grand Tam Award from CTAM and the Joel E. Berger Award in 2004 from Cable Positive. He was honored by Playwrights Horizon in 2005 and the T. Howard Foundation for diversity and more recently by the Museum of The Moving Image in 2008.
