Upfront: J.J. Abrams’ Fringe Highlights Fox Schedule

Only Two New Series to Debut in Fall

As expected, Fox will launch its most anticipated new project, J.J. Abrams drama Fringe, in the fall as it continues its push to bolster its fourth-quarter performance.

That announcement came as the network said it will debut at least six new projects next year, only two of which will come in the fall.

Also bowing in the fall is comedy Do Not Disturb, while Dollhouse from Joss Whedon, reality show Secret Millionaireand comedies The Cleveland Show and Sit Down, Shut Up are slated to come on at midseason or later.

Fringe will slot in Tuesdays at 9 p.m., getting a House lead-in this fall and a potential American Idol boost in January.

9 p.m.-10 p.m.: Prison Break

• Tuesday

8 p.m.-9 p.m.: House

9 p.m.-9:30 p.m.: Til Death

9:30 p.m.-10 p.m.: Do Not Disturb (working title)

8 p.m.-9 p.m.: Moment of Truth

9 p.m.-10 p.m.: Kitchen Nightmares

• Friday

8 p.m.-9 p.m.: Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?

9 p.m.-10 p.m.: Don’t Forget the Lyrics

• Saturday

8 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: COPS

8:30 p.m.-9 p.m.: COPS

9 p.m.-10 p.m.: America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back

11 p.m.-midnight: MADtv

Midnight-12:30 a.m.: Talkshow with Spike Feresten

7 p.m.-8 p.m.: The OT (National Football League postgame)

8 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: The Simpsons

8:30 p.m.-9 p.m.: King of the Hill
