Programming from BBC America is now available on Apple’s iTunes store.

Torchwood

Single episodes from BBC series Torchwood, Little Britain and Robin Hood are available at the standard iTunes price of $1.99 each.

"BBC is delighted to provide U.S. audiences with the unique ability to purchase and download select award-winning BBC America programming on the iTunes Store," BBC Worldwide America vice president of digital media and business development Beth Clearfield said in a statement. "As the first U.K. broadcaster available in the United States, BBC is leveraging its trusted international brand in entertainment to provide our audiences with a first-rate digital experience."

The BBC was the first British broadcaster to offer programming via the U.K. version of iTunes, and it becomes the first U.K. programmer to offer its programming via the U.S. version, as well. The BBC currently has digital distribution deals with MySpaceTV and Google’s YouTube, and it recently expanded its broadband-streaming efforts in the United Kingdom.
