Former American Idol Contestant Wins Three CMT Country Music Awards
Season-Five Finalist Kellie Pickler Wins for ‘Breakthrough Video,’ ‘Performance of the Year,’ ‘Tearjerker Video of the Year’

Fox’s American Idol continues to be a ticket to success, even for those who don’t win.
The latest to gain from weekly exposure on the most-watched series on TV was season-five finalist Kellie Pickler, who got three awards at the CMT Country Music Awards show Monday night, although she was not there to pick them up.
Pickler won for "Breakthrough Video," "Performance of the Year," and "Tearjerker Video of the Year." They were the first awards for the North Carolina native whose first album, Small Town Girl, went gold.

I, too, am a HUGE Kellie Pickler fan from day one. Actually my interest in AI really "soared" when Carrie won and then Kellie came along and I became a huge fan. Thank you, AI, for bringing all of these talented young folks into our homes.

I am a huge Kelly Pickler fan!!! I am so proud of her winning the three awards last night. She has come so far and I hope she goes far in this business. Country music is definitely her speciality. I believe the only reason she did not go further on American Idol is because she is strickly country and doing other things was uncomfortable for her.
If Kelly continues to stay the same sweet, gracious, small town, young woman she will be fine.
