UPFRONT & CENTER: LATV to Hold Inaugural Upfront May 1

Bilingual Entertainment Network, American Latino TV Subsidiary to Hold Event at Ultra NYC in Manhattan

By Michael Malone -- Broadcasting & Cable, 4/11/2008 6:50:00 AM

Bilingual entertainment network LATV will hold its first-ever upfront presentation May 1 at Ultra NYC in Manhattan.

LATV

LATV, which airs on stations’ digital channels, will be joined by its subsidiary, American Latino TV, which syndicates a pair of programs.

As the deadline for the digital transition approaches and the Hispanic population booms, LATV executives said the Spanish/English network has something substantial to offer stations.

“LATV’s strategic partnerships with its affiliates allow the network to have a local identity in each market. Advertisers can tap into this on a national, as well as at a local level, ensuring them a strong foothold in pivotal DMAs,” LATV vice president of sales Bill Jenkins said. “In one short year, we are the leading network in the digital arena, delivering today’s assimilated Latino youth.”

LATV launched nationally last spring. Post-Newsweek Stations has a minority ownership interest.
