“Given the sheer volume of breaking news, exclusive interviews and unforgettable moments the team here has created over the past 3,000 episodes, we couldn’t simply honor it in one day,” said Rob Silverstein, the show’s executive producer, in a statement.

Starting Monday, Access Hollywood’s Web site will include a page, “Access 3000,” wholly dedicated to the event, including extended video offerings of some of the top moments in Access Hollywood’s history.

From April 21-May 23, each week of the show have a theme.

From April 21-25, “Early Access” will look back at the show’s early years, bringing back Access’ first host, Giselle Fernandez, who went on to anchor the morning news at Tribune’s KTLA and perform on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

The next week, it’s “Access Surprises,” highlighting moments in which the show has caught celebrities by surprise.

From May 5-9, it’s “Access Exclusives,” looking at some of the show’s best celebrity gets.

The following week, Access toots its own horn with “Access Rules the Red Carpet,” giving viewers some of the show’s best red-carpet interviews and candid shots.

Wrapping up the month is “Access All-Stars,” focusing on the five stars Access has featured most over the years: Will Smith, George Clooney, Britney Spears, Julia Roberts and Halle Berry.

A one-hour retrospective episode will air during the weekend of May 17 and 18, in which Access Hollywood anchors and correspondents sit down together to chat about their favorite moments in the show’s 12-year history. The show will include outtakes, bloopers and behind-the-scenes accounts of covering Hollywood.
