Lifetime Television Passes on Side Order of Life
Women’s-Targeted Cable Network Not Bringing Back Original Dramedy

Lifetime Television decided not to renew Side Order of Life, the original dramedy it premiered last summer.

The show, about a young photographer whose best friend has breast cancer, was one of a trio of originals Lifetime premiered last summer. It drew decent-sized audience, but it wasn't a breakout show like Army Wives, which returns for a second season June 8. The third show in the trio, State of Mind, is also not coming back.
“Although we are not bringing Side Order of Life back for another season, we are extremely proud of the show, particularly its sensitive exploration of the issue of living with cancer,” the network said in a statement. “Lifetime’s commitment to raising awareness about cancer, especially breast cancer, continues and will grow as we begin our 14th year of our award-winning ‘Stop Breast Cancer for Life’ campaign. We are grateful for the contributions of the talented team, both in front of and behind the camera.”

This was a really good show. To bad they couldn't of gave it another season to try and build its base. I will definately miss this show.

I am really disappointed to hear that one of my favorites,Side Order of Life is not coming back. I really hope that you change your mind it is a great show and was a big part of why I like Lifetime Television. The story line was great and I enjoyed it so much. I hope you reconsider.

It was the only regular show I watched on Lifetime.

This is horrible, I loved this show. It's orginality and cast. Can we start a petition? I was so looking forward many more seasons

This should be reconsidered! This was a GREAT show, great cast, actors and the theme and stories were fabulous! I am shocked this show is not returning, I was sure it was a shoe in. This was simply a brilliantly written show with so much goin on that fit together so well. Is reality smuck all we have left in TV these days? Is there no room for REAL talent, creativity with humanity and human interest stories on friendship and a little imagination?
