CBS is reworking the order of its Monday-night comedy block, flipping rookie The Big Bang Theory with How I Met Your Mother when original episodes return March 17.

Big Bang, already renewed for a sophomore season, will now lead the night off at 8 p.m., followed by Mother at 8:30 p.m..
The 9 p.m. hour remains unchanged, with Two and a Half Men followed by The New Adventures of Old Christine.
Rules of Engagement will return in the 9:30 p.m. slot April 14.

They haven't gotten rid of HIMYM. You're right, that would be stupid. But I also see great potential in The Big Bang Theory if the writer can keep the material fresh.

What difference does it make???Both the shows HIMYM and TBBT are awesome shows and as long as both of them are there in the 8 to 9 slot..i dont think they'll be losing much viewership!!!

This would be a huge loss for CBS. HIMYM is one of the most innovative
shows to come on since Seinfeld and Friends left TV. This could
potentially be an Arrested Development type of decision, where they
realize too late that they were sitting on TV history. Bring it back!
