Keith Hernandez, former New York Mets first baseman and Seinfeld guest star and current analyst on SportsNet New York Mets broadcasts, signed a multiyear contract extension with the network.

“Keith is one of the elite analysts in baseball, and we’re excited to continue our relationship with him,” said Curt Gowdy Jr., senior vice president of production and executive producer for the regional sports network. “His candid analysis and unique perspective of the game make him one of the most entertaining broadcasters in all of sports. He is the perfect complement to Gary [Cohen] and Ron [Darling], forming baseball’s top broadcast booth.”
Hernandez will broadcast more than 110 games for SNY this season, as well as contributing to pregame and postgame programming. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
