Logo promoted Lisa Sherman from senior vice president and general manager to executive VP and GM.

Lisa Sherman

Sherman has been running day-to-day operations at the MTV Networks-owned gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender-targeted cable network for more than two years. She continues to report to MTVN Music Group Entertainment/Logo president Brian Graden.

Sherman -- who worked for marketing and advertising agencies and at Verizon Communications before joining the network -- is credited with overseeing all of its original content and business strategy to date, as well as helping to double its distribution to its current 30 million homes and forging key partnerships in the gay/lesbian community.

“Lisa is that rare individual who, as a leader, shows everyone what is possible, balancing Logo's daring vision with the hard management sense required to achieve lift-off,” Graden said in a statement. “Thanks to her inspiration, LGBT people now have a television home to call their own.”

Sherman’s other achievements at the network include attracting some 130 advertising partners, many of them new to LGBT media, and creating The Visible Vote 08: A Presidential Forum, in which top Democratic presidential candidates addressed an LGBT television audience for the first time.
