Reality Hit to Return in January 2009

NBC picked up a second season of Celebrity Apprentice, the network announced.

The celebrity edition of the reality show has proven to be a boon for the network on its strike-weakened Thursday-night lineup. The show has delivered a 3.9 rating/10 share with viewers in the important 18-49 demo, up 15% from season six of the regular version of the show.
"Everywhere I go, people come up to me and ask about Celebrity Apprentice. Viewers are clearly connecting but, beyond the terrific ratings, it's really the charities who are winning the most. Our celebrities have raised over $1 million to date. We are so glad NBC has decided to continue this franchise," said Mark Burnett, executive producer of the show, in a statement.
The second season of Celebrity Apprentice is set to debut in January 2009. No contestants have been announced as of yet, although NBC executive vice president Craig Plestis said he has been approached by celebrities wanting to appear in the second season.
In addition to the pickup, the network extended the season finale of the current season of the show. On March 27, NBC will air a live two-hour finale.

I don't care much for CA. Who cares who wins? They're all celebrities (except for Omerosa and who wants to watch her anyway). I was a die hard Apprentice fan...and would like the ordinary joe's back.

Are they going to fix the one fundamental flaw of CA? That is, all the contestants do is call their rich friends for help?!
