Paley Center to Honor Sumner Redstone

Viacom Chairman Joined Board of Paley Center for Media in 1997

The Paley Center for Media will honor Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone next month at its annual gala.

Jon Stewart of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will host the evening.

“Sumner Redstone’s success speaks to his innovative thinking and tremendous business acumen, which have been the guiding principles of an extraordinary career,” said Pat Mitchell, president and CEO of The Paley Center for Media, in a statement. “Sumner joined our board of trustees in 1997 and we as an institution are enormously grateful for his commitment to advancing the mission of the Paley Center.”

The Paley Center’s annual gala will be held Feb. 7 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
