Two Cox Enterprises-owned outlets kicked off their tailgate for the Bowl Championship Series National Championship Game Jan. 7 with the launch of interactive Web site OSULSU.com.

The game will pit No. 1 Ohio State University against No. 2 Louisiana State University at the Superdome in New Orleans.

The Dayton Daily News (Ohio), owned by Cox Newspapers, and New Orleans-based Cox Sports Television, owned by Cox Communications, are combining the newspaper’s regional coverage of Ohio State and the regional sports network’s news and video coverage of LSU with statistics, analysis, highlights, photos, news and information.

OSULSU.com also features a "Guess the Score" game, giving visitors the chance to win a $1,000 gift card.

"Highly energized and loyal supporters of their teams, both LSU Tiger and OSU Buckeyes fans are a special breed of sports enthusiast,” CST general manager Rod Mickler said in a statement.

“OSULSU.com delivers a powerful platform for advertisers to reach this highly desirable audience,” he added. “Thanks to a powerful cross-channel ad inventory with Cox Communications and the reach of a major metro newspaper, the word on OSULSU.com is out."
