Court TV Cuts Web Team in Half
Online Trial Coverage Moving to CNN.com

As it moves towards its Jan. 1 rebrand as truTV, Court TV is cutting its online team in half and moving its trial coverage to sister Turner Broadcasting System network site CNN.com. The network is eliminating 16 of its 31 Web employees, as well as six jobs in operations and two in daytime.
CNN will carry Court TV's online trial coverage on a new CNN.com/crime site, swapped for what is now CNN.com/law. The new CNN site will be managed by the CNN.com team in Atlanta, rather than in Court TV's headquarters in New York.
When Court TV first announced plans for a rebrand in March, the network said it would move trial coverage to the Web during the afternoon as it began leading into the action-packed unscripted fare, with which it has seen steady ratings growth over the past 18 months.
“We will make truTV.com a popular destination, with an abundance of video content and materials exclusive to the Web,” said CourtTV/truTV general manager Marc Juris in an internal memo. “Our archive of stories from crime library.com will be available as well.”

HI I did not know you have changed Courttv.com I am watching live trials still but I am not sure about the website it is so hard to find everything but I watch Jack and ashley banfield I love them!! and I watch Jami Floyd! so thank you and hope to see this in order I am not finding about the trials thanks Janine

Ashleigh banfield does her homework and knows the trial facts on the cases she and Jack Ford anchor!!! She repeats alot that she is not a lawyer, but brings a great insight to what the jury is probabily thinging. I have come to really appreciate her journalistic skills....don't ever doubt it, she is a smart cookie. Star Jones........she is best when she sticks to the law, and not her Hollywood interviews!!!Catherine Crier has hooked up with Ted Turner. Those 2 deserve each other....both legends in their own minds. I Love all the anchors and Jean Casaras on Court TV. I hope they continue Live court coverage.

ok i'm confused which is not hard to do at my age :)will Tru Tv still have daily live trails on cable tv and will it have its own channel as court tv does now ?thank you a devoted watcher of daily trail coverage

Is there a hope, Banfield will be fired as Nancy and Catherine Crier were? Love Star Jones because she is fair and does not put up with the nonsense from the likes of Lisa Pinto, etc.
