Gospel Music Channel Launches Christian Music Awards
2007 Gospel Music Channel Video Awards to Air Dec. 29

Gospel Music Channel created what it said will be an annual video-music awards for gospel and other forms of Christian music.
The channel already selected the nominees according to how much airplay they got on GMC so far in 2007. Viewers will vote on the network’s Web site for winners in six categories -- rock, country, soul, hip-hop, contemporary and Latino -- plus a top video of the year.
The winners will be announced on-air Saturday, Dec. 29, during a special edition of the channel's video countdown, Hot List.
Nominees include Johnny Cash, Jars of Clay, Martina McBride, Shirley Murdock, Rascal Flatts and Switchfoot.
