ABC Names ABC News Now Anchor/Reporter

Rivero Joins Digital-News Service from WCBS-TV New York

ABC added a reporter/anchor for its ABC News Now digital-news service.

Tanya Rivero, who had been a reporter and anchor at WCBS-TV New York, will join ABC there. In addition to anchoring live coverage and providing news briefs, Rivero will host programs Top Priority, What's the Buzz and Money Matters.

It will be a homecoming for Rivero, who as a college student was a desk assistant for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and weekend newscasts.

Tech Talk: Tackling Multiplatform VOD


In this week's edition of Broadcasting & Cable TechTalk, senior editor Glen Dickson shines the spotlight on some  of the vendors at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver. Companies such as SeaChange and Clearlap are showing new ways to both bring content to cable operator's video-on-demand platforms and deliver VOD content to multiple screens, including PCs and mobile devices.
