Primetime Ratings: Baseball Very Good to Fox
American League Championship Series Game Four Propels Network to Tuesday-Night Victory
By John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 10/17/2007 11:48:00 AM
Tuesday was one of the most competitive nights of the new season in the 18-49 demo, with Fox atop the chart with a 3.6 rating/10 share, according to the Nielsen Media Research overnights, and ABC and CBS tied for second with a 3.3/9.

NBC was only one-tenth of a rating point behind them at a 3.2/9 for fourth. And The CW was fifth with a 1.6/4, which included tying NBC for fourth place from 8 p.m.-9 p.m.
Fox's victory came with its coverage of the fourth game of the American League Championship Series.
ABC's top show was a Dancing with the Stars results show at a 4.3/11 from 9 p.m.-10 p.m., while CBS' best performer was NCIS at a 4.1/12.
Keeping NBC in the game was Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which averaged a 4.8/13. But Matt Lauer's much-hyped hour with Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) and his wife about sexual-solicitation allegations (evoking former President Bill Clinton's 60 Minutes interview on the Jennifer Flowers allegations) did not draw much of a crowd of political rubber-neckers, coming in last from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. with a 1.7/5, tied for fourth with The CW's Beauty & the Geek.
