WealthTV Travels Again to Distant Shores
Second Season of HD Travel Series Focuses on Caribbean, Chesapeake Bay, Erie Canal.

WealthTV, the niche high-definition-TV channel that features luxury lifestyle content, picked up a second season of Distant Shores, a half-hour travel series that follows hosts Paul and Sheryls Shard across the globe.
While season one was a tour of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, season two will follow the Shards thorough the Caribbean, Chesapeake Bay and Erie Canal.
“Distant Shores is one of the best travel series airing on television,” said John Ghiorzi, executive vice president of affiliate relations for WealthTV. “Viewer response has been incredible. [It] takes you a step beyond any other travel program-giving you a real sense of the culture and mindset of the people.”
WealthTV still has limited distribution. It currently has carriage deals with Charter Communications, Verizon Communications' FiOS TV, Qwest Communications International and a video-on-demand deal with Time Warner Cable.
