Fox crushed the competition Tuesday night with the premiere of drama House.

According to Nielsen Media Research overnight ratings, Fox averaged a 5.4 rating/14 share in the 18-49 demo, with House racking up a 7.7/19, topping the next two networks combined from 9 p.m.-10 p.m.

ABC and NBC tied for second at a 3.6/10. ABC was led by Dancing with the Stars, which averaged a 5/13 for its hour-and-a-half dance-off among the guys, although that was down considerably from the 6/15 the gals averaged in Monday's premiere.

CBS was third at a 2.9/8. Its top show was the return of NCIS (3.1/9) from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. The debut of Jimmy Smits-starrer Caneaveraged a 2.9/8 from 10 p.m.-11 p.m. for second place behind SVU and ahead of Boston Legal.

The CW was fifth, but it earned the consistency award averaging a 1.5/4 in each of its four half-hours for Beauty & the Geek and the debut of Reaper.
