Equity Broadcasting Corporation, which plans to launch the digital channel Retro Television Network (RTN) in July, agreed to a content deal with CBS Television Distribution.
Under the terms of the deal, CBS TV will be RTN’s primary programming provider for the next five years, supplying at least 55 hours of shows a week to RTN affiliates.
RTN, whose slogan is “Prime Time All the Time,” will provide affiliates with customized feeds containing older programs, along with news, weather and sports.
“The CBS library is unrivaled in the industry and I could not think of a better programming partner for RTN,” stated RTN Executive VP Mark Dvornik.
Some of the CBS Television programs mentioned are Hawaii 5-0 and Mission Impossible.

My DVR accidently found this station when RAWHIDE showed up. After that, I found all the other shows. I''ve been getting caught up on THE FUGITIVE and CANNON and now I can catch the few episodes of the other shows that I haven''t seen before.
My only complaint would be that they are skipping some episodes. The other day they aired the wrong episode of THE FUGITIVE. I can always get that one on DVD but that only covers Season One. Sometimes they are not shown in order, but back then, I guess, that really didn''t matter. I can''t wait to see if they air the missing HAWAII 5-0 episode.
I wish RTN had a phone number - maybe someday. Maybe having this station will help to get more of these shows on DVD.

When will there be a retro channel that brings back the mid 1960s, World War II Air Force drama series 12 O'Clock High which ran on ABC from Sept. 1964 to Jan. 1967. This show, produced by Quinn Martin Productions, starred Robert Lansing as Brigadier General Frank Savage, Paul Burke as Colonel Joseph Anson Gallagher, Frank Overton as Major Harvey Stovall and John Larkin as Major General Wiley Crowe. This show from 20th Century Fox Television is based on the 1949 blockbuster film of the same name which starred Gregory Peck as Gen. Savage and Dean Jagger as Major Stovall (Jagger won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor). The film and tv series are based on the book by Bierne Lay, Jr. and Sy Bartlett in fact based stories of the fictional 918th Bombardment Group. Lay commanded the 306th Bombardment Group in England during World War II and in coming up with the fictional group number for the movie & tv series, Lay simply multiplied 306 by 3 to come up with the 918th. The tv series is excellent and contains actual missions flown by the 8th Air Force in Europe and contains many actual aerial combat scenes filmed by the 8th Air Force and the German Luftwaffe from the gun cameras of World War II. This show really does a great job paying tribute to those brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom and it would be a great tribute to those folks who served in World War II to bring this series back. Everyday, more and more of these fine men and women are passing away and I am sure these folks, their children, grand children and great grandchildren would enjoy seeing this fine program once again (and for the first time for many of the younger family members). Please bring back 12 O'Clock High, a great show about the greatest generation in American history.

Why can't you bring back programs from the 50's. The black and white shows. Not the common Lucy shows but the ones that haven't been seen in years.
