ABC To Pull Daybreak Effective Immediately
By Ben Grossman -- Broadcasting & Cable, 12/15/2006 10:41:00 AM
ABC plans to pull the show Daybreak from the air effective immediately. The series stars Taye Diggs as Detective Brett Hopper, a man framed for murder who must live the same day over and over.
The show was slotted as a mid-season replacement during Lost's hiatus but it has struggled, recently reaching a new season low on Wednesday. The network plans on programming a comedy block of repeats of According to Jim and George Lopez to replace the show.

ABC is making the wrong move. Daybreak needs to be put back on and in a timeslot all of its own. It''s a fascinating show and I''m very disapointed.

I guess America is still a little sensitive when it comes to a Black man with a [not] african american women. But won't blink shooting a love seen with a black women and a white man. ABC you're a bunch of wimps.

I agree. Daybreak was an outstanding show. Mindless shows like Deal or no deal and crap like it are ruining good shows like this. Is there anywhere on the web where you can access the never shown episodes, i would love to see where they were going to go with the show. Your loss ABC...bad move

This sucks. You tell us all to watch your shows and then half way through cancel them and laugh in our faces? No..it shouldn't work that way. Thats cheap and unprofessional. I can understand about the ratings, but you could have at least finished it out so we could know what happens. You lost a lot of faithful viewers and only have yourselves to blame. If your going to pull the plug again, next time just cut to the chase and dont even air it at all.

Loved this show and can't believe it has been cancelled. How can a network get you hooked like that and then no conclusion because they have pulled it? I hope another network buys out the remaining episodes to air. Taye Diggs was incredible in this show! Hope to see the ending one day.
