Ailes Cracks Whip as Fox News Slips

Slackers at Fox News Channel, you’re on notice! Your boss is not pleased. Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes is on the warpath following his network’s recent ratings slump, and he won’t hesitate to clean house to turn things around.
So far during the second quarter, the No. 1 cable news channel’s primetime schedule has dropped 22% in its core 25-54 demo and 8% in total viewers. The first quarter was even worse.
Chief rival CNN has also dipped in recent weeks, but less dramatically, off 18% in the demo and 2% in total viewers.
Insiders say that, even though Fox News remains No. 1, Ailes is fuming over the complacency he senses among staffers.
Production values are slipping, and bookers aren’t competitive enough, relying too heavily on the same pool of faces and settling for authors or actors after they’ve already been on CNN or … gasp … MSNBC.
A full-page "Now Hiring" ad that ran recently in a trade magazine asked, "Can you make the cut?" Says one Fox staffer, that question was not addressed to outside applicants: "That was aimed inside."
Commenting through a spokesman last week, Ailes left no doubt: "Anyone who displays launch-type intensity will continue to have a job at Fox News. Those who don’t will not. And that includes talent."

To Roger Ailes' Ratings slip understandable. Sheppard Smith a loud show off featuring his opinions, Megan Kelly an abrasive loud motor mouth, Bill Oreilly God bless him more and more about himself, Bret Hume slowly disappearing from programming. too bad as he is honest, informative and not self centered

News? You must be joking! I pay for my programing and the Fox Noise Channel is blocked from my set, even more effective is that I am a Nielsen Family and therefor have an impact on its ratings. Hate programs are not healthy for our children and our country, fair and balanced should be more than just lip service.

Fox News Channel is a television "Network". It has a number of programs, each of which should be judged independantly, and on it''s own merits.
Broad accusations with no examples or specifics of what your talking about, is typical of the brainwashed lemming. Citing no sources is also indicative of one who is "Parroting" what they have been told.
Can you corroborate what you''ve been led to believe? Can you cite an historical example that is analogous to, and supports you position today?
If you''re source for news is the internet, you might as well be reading "The Enquirer".

fox news does not broadcast news. it is only a opinion program.( o'reily, hanninty&combs and fox& frends.they do not tell you all the news only what they want.very misleading not good for are chrilden.they will tell you about one election poll that has one canadate leading but not tell about the four others that have that same canadate losing. that is only one. many many more misleading information. also very little facts to back anything up.

Fox News Channel is not perfect, but they are the most honest and accurate.
Are you a Global Warming "Chicken Little"? Do your homework folks, We haven''t reached the tempuratures from a thousand years ago, before the "Little Ice Age".

Do you think John McCain should be held up as the "torture doesn''t work" posterboy?
If he were judging the case in a court of law, he would have to recuse himself! If he were Voir Dired for jury selection on the matter he would be rejected.
What would the implications be if he were to say "Yes, torture works"? Wherever you stand on the issue, understand this, he HAS to say it doesn''t work.
Use your head folks! Think for yourselves!
